GOD: God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Genesis 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19)
JESUS CHRIST: Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He is fully God and equal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice to atone for the sins of all people by shedding His own blood and dying on the cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He descended and set captives free, ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5, 14; John 14:10-31; Romans 1:4; Ephesians 4:9-10; Philippians 2:5-6)
THE HOLY SPIRIT: The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides for the Christian… power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians, we seek to live under the control of the Holy Spirit daily. (II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; Ephesians 5:18; John 14:17)
THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT: Given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Jesus Christ, sent by the Father, to empower the Church to be a witness to the Gospel throughout the whole earth. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is signified by speaking in other tongues, and brings with it various other gifts. (Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6; 1 Corinthians 12, 13, 14)
THE BIBLE: The Bible is God’s Holy Word. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. It is the whole truth without error. The Bible was not written only to educate us, but to change our lives. (Psalm 119:19; II Timothy 3:16)
HUMANITY: People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. All of us are marred by a sinful nature and an attitude of disobedience toward God. This attitude, called sin, separates people from God and causes many problems during this earthly life. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2)
THE CHURCH: The Church is the Bride of Christ and the Body of Christ on earth. The church represents Jesus Christ, works with the power of the Holy Spirit and seeks for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Every person who is born again of the Spirit is an integral part of the Church as a part of the body of believers. (John 17:11, 20-23; Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22, 5:25-32; Hebrews 12:23)
SALVATION: We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human effort. When we accept Christ’s sacrifice for our salvation we are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit. (John 3:3-18; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5)
BAPTISM: Following the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by Jesus in the Word of God to be baptized in water. We believe in baptism by immersion. (Matthew 28:19; Matthew 3:13-17; Mark 1:9-11)
DIVINE HEALING: Divine Healing is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus, and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. It is given as a sign, which is to follow believers. It is also a part of Jesus’ work on the cross and one of the gifts of the Spirit. We believe all healing is divine and that Divine Healing is for us today. (Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16)
THE LORD’S SUPPER: A time of communion when the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine represent the body and blood of Christ and are taken in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. It is a memorial of His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming. (II Peter 1:4; Matthew 26:26-29; Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32)
ETERNITY: People were created to exist forever. Either to live eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation through Christ, or to exist eternally separated from God by sin. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. (John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15)
SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST: The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for a thousand years. (Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:27,30; Revelation 1:7, 19:11-14, 20:1-6)
THE RESURRECTION: Those who have died in Christ and are translated together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church. (Romans 8:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51,52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; Titus 2:13)
FINAL JUDGMENT: There will be a final judgment. Whosoever is not found with their name written in the Book of Life, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake, which is burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Matthew 9:43-48, 25:46; Revelation 19:20, 20:11-15, 21:8)
THE NEW HEAVEN & THE NEW EARTH: We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth where God’s righteousness dwells forever. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21; Revelation 22)
